Weebly Basics
Overview
Elements: This is where you will spend your creative energy! Work on your writing skills!
Design: This is where the background of the pages can be changed. Please do NOT do this unless discussed with the facilitator! It is really easy to accidentally change the background for everyone. Keeping it the same will also create consistency across the site.
Pages: Do NOT change anything in pages. Making changes may effect other parts of the site.
Setting: Do NOT change anything in Settings!
Click on Publish to save your work! It will show up in another window. Changes will not appear until after you hit Publish.
- Basic:You can add text or pictures to your page. You can make links to the creations you make on the iPad with the "Button" or by using the link in the text editor. You may also embed them using the "Custom HTML".
- Mulitmedia: You can add a short photo gallery or slide show, but we will do more of that on Animoto with the iPads. You can experiment and write in Word, save it on your computer, and then upload it in the "Embed Document". You may add a Google Maps, but do not include where you currently live! It is possible to add audio, but due to our time, if you want to add audio use Vocaroo. We need to be mindful of copyright and fair use laws when using audio.
- More: We will not have time to use this, but there are some nice features to know about such as polls and forms.
